The Redmi K70E will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra model, as Redmi revealed today through official teases. Xiaomi teams up with MediaTek once more to provide its smartphone with a special processor.

For now, it’s unclear what that “Ultra” actually stands for. But, its performance ought to differ from the standard Dimensity 8300, as we can already state. With the same chipset, interestingly, the Redmi K70 beat the benchmark. Therefore, at least two Redmi K70 series devices will use the Dimensity 8300-Ultra.

In addition to confirming the new chipset, Redmi used the occasion to reveal a few benchmark results. In the AnTuTu benchmark, the Redmi K70e achieved an astounding 1,526,328 points. While it is evident that this is not particularly useful for daily use, we may utilise it as a performance parameter at least.

Additionally, the brand hinted that after an hour of playing a difficult “open-world” game, the next phone will still be cool. Test results show that the phone maintains low temperatures at 25 degrees Celsius while achieving 58.86 frames per second. Fans of the Redmi brand who cannot afford more expensive flagships like the recently announced Xiaomi 14 series should therefore find this phone to be a respectable alternative.
