The Redmi K30 Pro launched earlier this year and now the company is all set to release the successor of that phone, dubbed as the Redmi K40 Pro. The company hasn’t shared any official information about the specifications of the upcoming phone. As of now, a number of leaks about this phone have already been out on the internet. According to some leaks, the Redmi K40 pro is expected to run on the Android 10 OS and will be powered by a Snapdragon 875 processor. It is quite an expected thing as the predecessors of this model such as the Redmi K20 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC and the Redmi K30 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC.
Now coming to the camera section. Reports are saying that the camera module is also a huge improvement comparing to the K30 Pro. The Redmi K40 Pro will sport Samsung’s new 108 MP ISOCELL HM2 sensor. So, this is obviously an improvement. Interestingly, the upcoming Mi 10T Pro might feature the same camera sensor (108 MP ISOCELL HM2). In all aspects, the HM2 is definitely a better sensor than the 64 MP Sony IMX686 on the Redmi K30 Pro. Not only the camera but also in the battery section, the Redmi K40 Pro is expected to defeat the Redmi K30 Pro. That means we are going to get a bigger battery with faster charging in this upcoming phone.
