Redmi K40 display details point to a sheer improvement over the Redmi K30 series display

After the Redmi K30 series, Redmi is looking to bring its successor series, the Redmi K40 and it seems to be the next affordable flagship-killer from Redmi. This phone is expected to have a flat display over the recently famous curved displayed smartphones. A recent report has come out that there will be a big improvement on the display of the upcoming Redmi K40 series over its predecessor K30 series.

As it will be a flat display, so we can expect some straight sharp edges on its screen. Coming to the refresh rate, the Redmi K40 will offer a refresh rate of 120Hz whereas the Redmi K30 Pro buyers had to settle their expectations to a refresh rate of 60 Hz. So, in terms of refresh rate, Redmi K40 is definitely going to beat the Redmi K30 Pro. But in the case of Redmi K30, it supports a 120Hz refresh rate. So, Redmi K40 and Redmi K30, both are similar in this case.

Now coming to the display quality, as per some sources, the Redmi K40 is going to feature an OLED panel. For comparison, the Redmi K30 had a normal LCD panel. On the other hand, the Redmi K30 features an AMOLED panel. So, it is quite puzzled now. But it seems that Xiaomi will bring all the best features from its older models to this new K40. So, if we combine all those things, this will be a 120Hz OLED display with a punch-hole design to sport the selfie snapper. In terms of chipset, it is rumored that this upcoming Redmi K40 will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 775G processor for the vanilla model and the Pro variant will be powered by Snapdragon 875 SoC chipset.
