The successors to Redmi K30 and K30 Pro smartphones have been launched by Redmi in the form of the Redmi K40 series. Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi, announced the arrival of Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, and Redmi K40 Pro+ flagships in China. So, let’s go and check out the specifications and pricing of each one of them.

Redmi K40

Redmi K40 runs on the Android 11 OS and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. Regarding the display, this phone offers a 6.67 inches FHD+ AMOLED punch-hole panel supported by a strong refresh rate of 120Hz. This phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The mobile chipset of this phone is paired with 6GB/8GB/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage (UFS 3.1). Coming to the camera section, this phone offers a triple rear camera setup supported by an LED flash that includes a 48MP primary sensor along with 8MP and 5MP sensors. For selfies, this phone has a 20MP selfie snapper at the front.

The Redmi K40 is fueled up by a 4,520mAH battery supported by 33W of fast charging. In terms of connectivity, this phone has WiFi 6, 5G connectivity, and more. It comes in three colour variants: Dreamland, Icy White, and Glossy Black colours.

Coming to the pricing and availability, the Redmi K40 carries a price tag for its variant:

  • 6GB RAM + 128GB – CNY 1,999 or roughly Rs. 22,500
  • 8GB RAM + 128GB – CNY 2,199 or roughly Rs. 24,700
  • 8GB RAM + 256GB – CNY 2,499 or roughly Rs. 28,000
  • 12GB RAM + 256GB – CNY 2,699 or roughly Rs. 30,400

Redmi K40 Pro

Redmi K40 Pro runs on the Android 11 OS and is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. Regarding the display, this phone offers a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) E4 AMOLED display with a punch-hole panel. This phone has a fingerprint scanner on the side.

In terms of optics, this K40 Pro offers a rear camera setup supported by an LED flash that includes a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle 119-degree lens, and a 5-megapixel tertiary sensor.

K40 Pro+ has similar hardware to that of Redmi K40 Pro. Though, when we speak about the camera specifications, it beats the other two models. At the backside, it hosts a 108-megapixel Samsung HM2 primary sensor alongside 8 MP and 5 MP sensors.
