Redmi 14C 5G Launching on January 6, Available on Flipkart

Redmi has officially confirmed the launch of its upcoming smartphone, the Redmi 14C 5G, after several days of teasing. This new device will act as a successor to the Redmi 13C 5G, which was released in India last December. The microsites on Flipkart and Amazon have confirmed that the smartphone will be sold there.

Redmi 14C 5G is set to launch in India on January 6th (Monday). The microsite confirms that the smartphone will be available in three color variants — Purple with a gradient finish, Black and Blue with a star trails-like design. It will come with a circular camera island, flat frame, and side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The camera system will consist of two sensors, with a 50MP main camera at the helm. This means the Redmi 14C 5G will offer a better photography setup than its predecessor.

One of the key features of the Redmi 14C 5G will be its dual 5G SIM support, which will enable users to enjoy up to 2.5Gbps speeds for fast downloads, lag-free video calls, and smooth live streaming. More details about the smartphone will be revealed by Redmi leading up to the launch event. The most recent model, Redmi 13C 5G, arrived in India, with starting price of ₹10,999.

The Redmi 14C 5G has already been reportedly spotted on Geekbench with an Indian model confirmation which indicates that the device will be equipped with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset along with 8GB of RAM, and runs Android 14 out of the box. The Redmi 14C 5G is said to be a rebadged variant of the recently launched Redmi 14R 5G from September this year in China. The Chinese device sports a 120Hz 6.8-inch HD+ display and 5,160mAh battery with 18W fast charging support while its Indian counterpart will have a 50MP primary camera replacing the 13MP shooter from the Chinese device.
