Xiaomi’s latest event launched the Note 11 Pro Plus, a new Note 11s, and this one, the Redmi 10 5G — all with the latest connectivity standard. The Redmi 10 5G sports dual rear cameras and it runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 11. The company hasn’t announced the availability date of the Redmi 10 5G; however, it is expected to go on its first sale in the global market in the coming days.
Redmi 10 5G Features and Specifications
The Redmi 10 5G smartphone comes with a flat side design, which is in trend currently. so, there are relatively thick bezels surrounding the screen. The handset sports a large 6.58-inch Full HD+ LCD with a 90Hz screen refresh rate. The display comes with a feature that enhances brightness under direct sunlight. IPS LCD display comes with a 2408×1080 pixel resolution.
On the camera front, the Redmi 10 5G houses a dual rear camera unit that includes a 50 megapixel main camera sensor and a depth sensor of 2 megapixel. The company has provided a 5 megapixel camera sensor on the front for selfies and video calls.
The 10 5G is powered by a very potent MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, which is an octa core processor built on the 7nm fabrication process. It is equipped with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. 10 5G will arrive with MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
The smartphone is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery unit and supports 18W fast charging. Though, Xiaomi is providing a 22.5W fast charging adapter in the box. The handset has a Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm audio jack with hi-res audio.
The Redmi handset comes in three colour options – Graphite Gray, Chrome Silver, and Aurora Green. It measures 163.99 x 76.09 x 8.9 mm and weighs 200grams. The Redmi 10 5G comes at a starting price of $199 (approx. ₹15,084) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The 4GB RAM + 128GB variant is priced at $229 (approx. ₹17,359).
