The REDMAGIC 7 Series will offer at least one device that will come with a full-screen, bezel-less viewing experience, which is a first for gaming devices.
The information arrived from prominent tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that the series will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip that will have a 20,000 RPM active cooling fan to help it stay cool during intense gaming sessions.
The display will have a 165Hz OLED panel and the phones will also support 165W super flash charging, which looks set to be the fastest in the industry when the series officially launches. These speeds will help the phone power up from 0% to 100% in 10 minutes so having to worry about the battery of your phone will be the last of your worries.
Gaming phones have not adopted full-screen displays as they are not ideal for gaming. Gamers’ major qualm with bezel-less devices is that they are played by accidental touches from the edges they are gripped from.
It is a possibility that the REDMAGIC 7 Series will include certain software updates that will address this limitation. A simple feature that reduces touch sensitivity around the edges when a game is detected in the foreground should suffice.
Another feature is that one of the models in the REDMAGIC 7 Series could carry is an under-display camera technology, which would again be a first for a gaming device. This will be paired with an under-display fingerprint scanner.
In addition to this, a recent teaser revealed that the device has an AnTuTu score of 1,101,769 which makes it the highest in any gaming phone available on the market.
