All About the REDMAGIC 4K Mini LED Gaming Monitor

Delving into the technical specifications, REDMAGIC shared details on its Weibo account, shedding light on the monitor’s features. The gaming display incorporates mini-LED partitions for its backlighting mechanism, ensuring optimal display output. With a 27-inch panel boasting a 160Hz refresh rate and a 4K resolution, the monitor occupies a sweet spot for gaming enthusiasts. It also showcases a remarkable peak brightness of 2200 nits, supports a 99% Adobe DCI-P3 color gamut, and complies with HDR1400 standards, guaranteeing an immersive and high-quality viewing experience for consumers.

REDMAGIC’s design approach for the upcoming monitor is described as “futuristic,” evident in the three-narrow-edge design that contributes to a sleek and minimalist appearance. Adding to the aesthetic appeal is the triangular-shaped RGB lighting at the back, enhancing the overall visual experience and complementing the monitor’s design language. The included stand offers ample swivel and height adjustment, though it does require substantial space. In terms of connectivity, the monitor is equipped with USB-C, dual USB-A, dual HDMI, and a DP interface, providing versatility for various setups.

Additionally, REDMAGIC showcased its 49″ QD-OLED gaming display, featuring a 32:9 Ultra-Wide curved design, a 240Hz refresh rate with a rapid 0.03ms response time, and a similar futuristic aesthetic as its Mini LED counterpart. Positioned as a cost-effective alternative to Samsung’s QD-OLED offerings, this variant is expected to utilize a domestically produced panel.

The 49″ QD-OLED display includes ARGB LEDs at the back, two built-in 5W speakers, and mic support. Connectivity options include HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4, and a robust 90W USB Type-C charging feature. The anticipated price point is rumored to be lower than Samsung’s equivalent, which is priced close to $2000 US.

REDMAGIC is slated to officially unveil its upcoming mini-LED and the rest of the gaming monitor lineup at an upcoming conference scheduled for November 23. This event promises a detailed exploration of the monitors’ features and pricing, marking a significant stride in the adoption of mini-LED technology in the gaming display landscape.
