Reawaken Man: The Red First Look — Kim Si Ah’s Character, Plot, Release Date & Everything Revealed So Far

A man who can’t die permanently, a webtoon-based comeback thriller, and now a first glimpse at his sharp-tongued but fiercely loyal little sister — Reawaken Man: The Red is building buzz ahead of its theatrical release, and the newest character reveal only adds to the intrigue.

The story follows Seok Hwan (Koo Kyo Hwan), an unemployed job seeker with nothing going for him except unfounded confidence. After dying, he discovers a strange power — he can come back to life 72 hours later. That ability soon makes him the target of a mysterious pursuit, setting up a chase that blends dark comedy with thriller tension.

Reawaken Man Details

The latest reveal introduces Kim Si Ah as Ye Rin, Seok Hwan’s younger sister. Despite being a high school student, Ye Rin is described as more mature than her older brother — highly skilled with computers and always finding useful information to help him through his repeated job-search setbacks. She speaks bluntly and seems indifferent on the surface, but she genuinely believes in her brother more than anyone.

What makes Ye Rin stand out isn’t just her supporting role — her calm composure under pressure fills in the gaps where Seok Hwan falls short, making her a grounded counterbalance to his chaotic energy. The film is expected to lean into a realistic sibling dynamic, with bickering and mutual concern that feels authentic rather than performative.

Kim Si Ah is currently also appearing in Walking on Thin Ice on Viki, giving fans a chance to see her range before this new role premieres.
