Realme made an announcement today at 10 am where they finally revealed the launch date of its upcoming smartphone series. Realme X7 series is the name of its upcoming series. Realme has already launched the Realme X5 a week ago in China, now the company has again revealed the launch date of the Realme X7 series on September 1 at 2PM local time.
The Realme X7 series will come with 5G connectivity and for the first time, it will feature 120Hz AMOLED display. Previously, the company has only revealed a 120Hz refresh rate in an IPS display, but now we can see the combination of both industry-leading refresh rate and the AMOLED screen.
From the Weibo post we have noticed that the company has used the Realme X7 Pro to write the post which clearly indicates a Pro version is in the lineup. But we can definitely expect a vanilla version for a cheaper price point.
From the image posted by Realme in Weibo we can see the render of the smartphone indicates thinner bezels, but it promotional mockups are often misleading so we have to wait and see until some clear image or live-image surfaces. The phone will have a left aligned punch-hole camera.
The Chinese words in the image translate to “thin and light flash charging flagship”, which means the phone might support the 125W Ultra Dart charging. This is one of the fastest charging to date developed by Oppo and Realme.
Another Chinese word that translates “flexible AMOLED screen” in the post might be misleading as this X7 series is not a foldable smartphone series but might come with a curved screen at the sides. We know that the company will reveal more information about the new series before launch and we will similarly keep you updated.
