Finally after all the rumors and renders surfacing all over the internet Realme V5 is now official as the cheapest smartphone in the world with Dimensity 720 SoC (7nm). The phone is launched as a new smartphone of a new series. The company has also revealed it will launch more smartphones of this series. The phone is launched in China and according to the conversion of the Chinese currency, we can see how cheap this phone is.
Specifications of Realme V5
Realme V5 features a 6.5-inch FHD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) hole-punch display with 90Hz display and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The phone has a quad-camera setup which includes a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 79.8-degree field of view, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.3 aperture, a 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP monochrome sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The 16MP front camera is housed in the punch hole cut on the display.
Realme V5 features MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC paired with up to 8GB RAM and internal UFS 2.1 storage of 128GB. The phone also a 6GB RAM variant with a similar storage option. The phone runs on Realme UI based on Android 10.
The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 30W flash charging. The phone comes in three different colours and a different design. The colour options are Silver Winged Boy (with realme name), Blue, and Breaking Light colour options.
Price and Availability
The 6GB + 128GB variant is available at CNY 1,399 (approx Rs.15,000) and the 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at CNY 1,899 (approx Rs.20,500). The pre-booking has already started in company’s website and the sale will start on August 7.
