The official announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 came last week from Qualcomm. Now all the smartphone companies are willing to launch their flagships with the new Qualcomm chipset in the coming days. This has become a type of competition where every brand is trying to launch its flagship smartphone first in the market.
Recently Xiaomi Founder and CEO Mr. Lei Jun said the “Xiaomi 12 Series will be the world’s first smartphones” to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC but Motorola made a sharp move to launch Moto Edge X30 powered by Qualcomm’s latest silicon on 9th December. Now Motorola officially becomes the first brand to launch its new smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
Realme VP Mr. Madhav Sheth had also confirmed the December launch of the Realme GT 2 Pro powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Recently the company has taken to Weibo to announce its upcoming Realme GT 2 Pro smartphone in China on 9th December that will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
The company has not officially announced what they will reveal on the 9th but it seems that it might not be the Realme GT 2 Pro, because companies like Realme are more likely to make huge marketing and promotions ahead of its flagship machine launch.
From the previously leaked images, we have seen the flat sides of the smartphone and a horizontal camera module. The Realme GT 2 Pro is expected to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen1. The phone is also rumored to have a 6.51″ FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, an LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. It will also carry support for 125W UltraDart charging and Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 out-of-the-box.
