Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition specifications:
The latest flagship from Realme features a 6.7″ AMOLED screen with a high refresh rate of 120Hz and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The display has a 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut along with Full HD+ resolution. The brand has come up with its own X7 display driver chip that ensures optimal performance of the display and power consumption, coming to the bezels, they are ultra-thin and are just 1.48mm on the sides and 2.37mm on the bottom.
The device arrives with a triple camera setup on the rear with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, the same as the one that its predecessor packed. The device has a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 150-degree field of view and a 2MP macro sensor. The 16MP selfie shooter is integrated within a central punch hole setup.
Coming to the hardware, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 chip has been powered with an Adreno 730 GPU that works perfectly with the X7 chip to offer the best touch responsiveness and appropriate refresh rate selection. The X7 has the capacity to artificially extend the frame rate from 30fps to 120fps while gaming and from 60fps to 120fps in other situations.
The device arrives with a rather distinctive design dubbed ‘Travel Trunk.’ The frame is a metallic one while the rear is made from vegan leather, a much more premium offering in comparison to plastic. The device arrives in Plain White and Plain Black color options, we also see shoulder keys that are gaming triggers. The latest flagship from Realme is perfect for gamers and other users who want an all-rounder in their smartphones. The device has two vapor chambers for heat dissipation and comes with Realme’s GT Mode 3.0.
In terms of battery life, we get a 5,000mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging support. The brand claims that a full charge can be achieved in under 25 minutes. The company has promised that despite this the battery will last twice as long as its competitors’ devices owing to the GaN materials in this cell. They guarantee 1600 full cycles before the battery capacity falls down to 80 percent.
The GT2 Explorer Master Edition runs on Realme UI 3.0 with Android 12 OS on top. Apart from this, we get other features such as dual-band GPS, 360-degree NFC, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Realme will make this flagship available in Mainland China only and it will not be making its way to overseas markets.
The device has been priced at CNY 3,499 or Rs.41,470 for the 8GB+128GB version and CNY 3,799 or Rs. 45,065 for the 12GB+256GB variant. Pre-orders have already been opened on the brand’s official site and the devices will be shipped from the 19th of July.
