Merely a couple of days after it was unveiled in China, Realme GT 7 has been officially confirmed to launch in India. Though Realme has kept pretty much everything close to its chest, it suggested that the new flagship is designed to take mobile gaming to a higher level.

Announcing the development on X (erstwhile Twitter), the company wrote, “The upcoming Realme GT 7 series is set to be the industry’s first smartphone, delivering 6 hours of stable 120 FPS gameplay.” Interestingly, its sibling — the Realme GT 7 Pro — was launched in India a few months ago. Now, let’s take a look at what the Realme GT 7 has to offer.

Realme GT 7 Announced in India: Expected Price Around ₹40,000, Gaming-Focused Features and Specs Detailed

Realme has not yet confirmed the Indian pricing, but Chinese prices give a solid clue. In China, the Realme GT 7 starts at CNY 2,599 (around ₹30,400) for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The top-end model, offering 16GB RAM and 1TB internal storage, is priced at CNY 3,799 (approximately ₹44,400). Factoring in local taxes and duties, the Indian pricing is expected to hover around ₹40,000 — similar to the launch price of the Realme GT 6, which started at ₹40,000 for the 8GB + 256GB configuration.

Rumours suggest that the Realme GT 7 will launch in India in May 2025. Although official specs are still thin on the ground, the Chinese model gives a very good clue. The MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ will debut on the GT 7, as per the latest confirmation by Realme, but should also arrive on the Indian variant as well. Fabricated by TSMC’s 3nm process, the chip is equipped with a Cortex-X925 core with a 3.73GHz frequency, three Cortex-X4 cores at 3.30GHz, and four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.4GHz. The phone should boot Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0 layered above.

In terms of display, the Realme GT 7 is rumored to pack a 6.8-inch FHD+ BOE panel with 2,800 × 1,200 resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a touch sampling rate of 340Hz. It should offer a 94.7% screen-to-body ratio, full DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, 4608Hz PWM dimming, a global peak brightness of 1,800 nits, and a staggering local peak brightness of 6,500 nits.

The smartphone is expected to pack a massive 7,000mAh battery, supported by 100W fast charging. Despite its large battery, the Realme GT 7 is rumoured to maintain a slim and lightweight design. Camera setup is likely to include a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP selfie camera.
