Realme states that the Realme GT 6 will be their next global smartphone launch. Speaking on the GT 2 (via GSMArena) Realme founder and CEO Sky Li says it arrives as the new “flagship killer” as Realme aims to return the splash it made in the high-end market. The Realme GT 6 will launch in Italy, India, Indonesia, Spain, Thailand, Malaysia, Mexico, the Philippines, Brazil, Poland, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia today. One of the GT 6’s main selling points is its AI-influenced features, which boost imaging, output, and customization.
All About the Realme GT 6 Flagship Killer
Realme is yet to confirm the specifications of the GT 6 but it is expected to be a rebadged version of the recently-launched Realme GT Neo 6 in China. Here are the main features of the GT Neo 6:
The Realme GT Neo 6 features a 6.78-inch OLED BOE S1 curved-edge display with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The screen has a resolution of 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 6,000 nits.
On the hardware front, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 drives the phone, combined with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. This is backed by a 5,500mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging and runs Realme UI 5 (Android 14)
The cameras on the GT Neo 6 include a 32-megapixel resolution front camera and a rear module that essentially includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 main camera with OIS and an 8-megapixel IMX355 ultra-wide lens. The phone costs 2,099 Yuan in China ($290) for the 8GB+256GB model.
In other news, Realme is expected to launch a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered version of the Realme GT 6 in China around June or July. However, this should not be confused with the global Realme GT 6, which is likely to be the rebranded GT Neo 6.
