The All New Realme GT 5

Realme made the announcement of the Realme GT 5’s launch date through a Weibo post as part of their fifth-anniversary celebration. The launch presentation is scheduled to start at 2:00 PM local time (11:30 PM IST). Last week, Xu Qi Chase, the Chief Marketing Officer of Realme, provided a sneak peek into the specifications of the Realme GT 5. It is confirmed to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and can be equipped with up to 24GB of onboard RAM. Furthermore, the phone will support fast charging at 240W.

In addition to this, the well-known source, Digital Chat Station, shared a purported image of the Realme GT 5 on a Chinese microblogging site, showcasing its frontal design. The image displays the device with a slightly curved display featuring a hole-punch design and slim bezels. The device’s bottom section includes the microphone, SIM tray, speaker grille, and USB Type-C port.

The Realme GT 5 is anticipated to serve as a successor to the Realme GT 3 model. It was introduced during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 with an initial cost of $649 (around ₹53,500). The Realme GT 3 features a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and the ability to achieve a refresh rate of 144Hz. Under its hood, it houses the octa-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen processor and can be configured with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

The Realme GT 3 features a triple rear camera setup, headlined by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), and it also incorporates a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The device is fueled by a 4,600mAh battery with support for 240W SUPERVOOC charging technology.
