Realme has recently launched its latest flagship phone, the Realme GT 3, for $649. The new handset comes with impressive features that are sure to attract tech enthusiasts looking for an all-around device that delivers smooth performance, a high-quality camera system, and extended battery life.
One of the key highlights of the Realme GT 3 is its triple rear camera system that features a 50MP IMX890 main camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP microscope lens. The device also boasts a 16MP front camera for selfies.
In terms of display, the Realme GT 3 sports a 6.74-inch 144Hz OLED screen with a resolution of 2,772 x 1,240. The device comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor, 360-degree NFC tech, and dual stereo speakers, and runs on Realme UI 4.0 on top of Android 13. Realme has also promised three OS updates and four years of security patches for the device.
Realme GT 3 features
The Realme GT 3 is essentially the China-only Realme GT Neo 5 with a new name, which means the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC instead of the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. However, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC still provides powerful performance.
The Realme GT 3 offers a 4,600mAh battery with blazing-fast 240W wired charging speeds, which reaches the limit of the current USB-C speeds by the USB-PD 3.1 revision. Realme claims that the device can be fully charged in just nine minutes and 30 seconds and can reach a 20% charge in only 80 seconds. While fast charging can be harmful to battery life, Realme claims that the GT 3 can still reach 80% of its effective battery capacity after 1,600 charging cycles.
Realme has also introduced AI smart charging tech with “intelligent scene detection” that enables the device to charge to 80% in certain situations and hit 100% just before the user wakes up. The Realme GT 3 is available in Booster Black and Pulse White with matte glass bodies.
