Realme declared on X that a new smartphone was coming to the nation with a teaser post. The hashtag “No Periscope. No Flagship” on the post alludes to improved optical zoom capabilities. The device’s back with a ring is shown in the poster image.
Realme 12 Pro Plus rumored details
As its first flagship phone featuring a periscope telephoto camera, the company unveiled the Realme GT 5 Pro earlier this month. The Realme 12 Pro Plus is rumored to be coming shortly, despite Realme having not officially confirmed the name yet.
The forthcoming smartphone, according to the insider, would be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series CPU (presumably the 7s Gen 2).
The forthcoming phone, according to tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd), is the Realme 12 Pro Plus. It is expected to ship around the end of January or early February and run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series CPU, most likely the 7s Gen 2.
Realme is announcing what is expected to be one of its major highlight features in order to start building anticipation for its upcoming phone, which some have speculated may be the Realme 12 Pro Plus.
Whatever model Realme decides to release in India in 2020 will be the first phone to do so with a periscope telephoto camera, following the Realme X3 SuperZoom.
With a periscope telephoto lens, this would be Realme’s first smartphone to leave China. In 2020, the X3 SuperZoom became the first smartphone from Relame to feature a periscope camera and was the last model to be released in India. Despite being debuted this year, Realme’s GT5 Pro is still only available in China, and there’s no indication that the smartphone will soon leave its native market.
Note: We advise you to treat this information with caution as Realme has not yet confirmed the product’s name, but if the tipster’s track record is any indication, the truth should not be too far off. Regardless, additional information about the marketing effort should be forthcoming as it starts to take shape.
