Realme Teases Realme 12 Pro Series and Unveils New Brand Direction with ‘Make it Real’ Tagline

The impending debut of the Realme 12 Pro series, which includes the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+, is on the horizon in India. Before any official unveiling, a reliable tipster has shared insights into the chipset of the Realme 12 Pro+ model. Furthermore, Realme has recently launched a tagline “Make it Real.” which signifies a shift, from their tagline “Dare to Leap.” In a letter Sky Li, the Founder and CEO of Realme highlighted that this year would redefine the brand’s standards.

The letter outlined Realme’s mission statement, brand positioning, and spirit as they embark on a transition from being “opportunity-oriented” to “brand-oriented.” The primary focus is on evolving into a technology brand that deeply resonates with users. Despite building upon five years of success Realme is not simply changing course. Expanding its horizons. The company intends to move from following trends to adopting an inclusive and expansive strategy that facilitates long-term investment and growth while connecting with a broader global audience of young users. In essence, Realme’s mission can be summarized as providing technology experiences that expectations for young users worldwide.

Rumors About the Realme 12 Pro+

Tipster Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24) on X disclosed that the Realme 12 Pro+ will be equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. Interestingly, the anticipated Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, set to rival the Realme 12 Pro+, is also confirmed to run on the same chipset.

Despite Realme not officially announcing a launch date or confirming the release of the Realme 12 Pro series in India, the company did reveal its new brand slogan on January 3. The slogan transitioned from ‘Dare to Leap’ to ‘Make it Real.’

Leaked information suggests that the Realme 12 Pro+ may feature a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Positioned in the mid-range smartphone segment, the handset is speculated to be priced at around CNY 2,000 (approximately ₹23,000) and is rumored to be the first mid-range handset with a periscope lens.

Anticipated to surpass the specifications of last year’s Realme 11 Pro+, launched at an initial price of ₹27,999, the Realme 12 Pro+ could bring significant upgrades. The Realme 11 Pro+ operated on Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 and featured a 6.7-inch full-HD+ display. It boasted a 200-megapixel triple rear camera setup, ran on a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, and included a 32-megapixel selfie camera. The device was powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging support, marking key specifications of the device.
