Ahead of the announcement, a reliable source shared details about the chipset that will be used in the Realme 12 Pro+ model. It is rumored that this upcoming smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC.

The Realme 12 Pro+ is speculated to be the successor to the launched Realme 11 Pro+ in India back in July. There are rumors circulating that the phone will come equipped with a periscope telephoto camera featuring an OmniVision OV64B sensor for capturing images at an impressive 64-megapixel resolution and providing up to 3x optical zoom.

According to information from a source on X, it is expected that the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC will also power another competitor, namely the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G. While there has been no confirmation or announcement regarding the release date or availability of the Realme 12 Pro series in India it should be noted that on January 3 Realme introduced their brand slogan; ‘Make it Real’ replacing their previous slogan ‘Dare to Leap’.

Leaks from sources suggest that among its features, one can expect to find a high-resolution OmniVision OV64B sensor with an impressive 64-megapixel and an excellent periscope telephoto lens capable of three times optical zoom.
