Realme has officially announced the release of the Realme 12+ 5G. The Chinese tech company shared that the smartphone will be launched in Malaysia, where they will also introduce the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G. Before its launch details, about the design and color choices for the Realme 12+ 5G have been revealed. Additionally, there have been hints from Realme about the launch of this handset in the market indicating it will be available soon.
It’s interesting to note that both the Realme 12 Pro 5G and Realme 12 Pro+ 5G were recently unveiled in India. Now it seems like Realme is gearing up to expand its range in India with the introduction of the Realme 12+ 5G. There are also expectations for a version of the Realme 12 model with 5G capabilities although there hasn’t been any confirmation as yet.
The Upcoming Realme 12+ 5G
Realme Malaysia officially confirmed through a Facebook post that both the Realme 12+ 5G and the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G will be launched in Malaysia on February 29th. Pre-orders for these phones will be open in Malaysia from February 16th to February 29th. The upcoming release of the Realme12+ is anticipated to offer color options such as beige and green featuring a design, similar to that of models like the Realme 12 Pro introduced in India earlier this year.
At the time Realme introduced a webpage, on its Indian website for the new Realme 12+ 5G model. While the page doesn’t directly state the model’s name it alludes to a “One More Plus” variant likely indicating the Realme 12+ 5G. Moreover, there are hints of a faux leather design and references to undisclosed enhancements, for the upcoming device.
Previously, the Realme 12+ 5G was rumored to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. It’s speculated to offer RAM configurations of 6GB, 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB, possibly coupled with storage options ranging from 128GB to 1TB. The phone is expected to boast a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display. In terms of dimensions, it may measure 162.95mm x 75.45mm x 7.87mm and weigh 190g.
In terms of camera setup, the Realme 12+ 5G is anticipated to feature a triple rear camera system comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. On the front, there may be a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Meanwhile, the global variant is speculated to sport a dual rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary sensor alongside an 8-megapixel sensor.
