Real Madrid are ready to announce the signing of Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer from Chelsea. The Germany international has not signed a contract renewal with the former Champions League winners, and will now be making his way to Spain for the coming years.
He has agreed a deal with Los Blancos until June 2026, with no option to extend for a further season. The official statement confirming the arrival of the player will be made in the coming week, now that the club season is over.
Real Madrid preparing official announcement for Antonio Rudiger signing
Despite missing out on two Cup finals to Liverpool this past season, Antonio Rudiger has been able to establish himself as one of the top centre-backs in the world right now. His presence was vital for Thomas Tuchel’s team to have a solid defense.
And now, they are set to lose one of their top players for no transfer fee as his contract expires. Chelsea are targeting Jules Kounde of Sevilla as the replacement for Rudiger, and are ready to engage in negotiations with them soon, once their sanctions have been lifted after the Todd Boehly takeover is completed.
Real Madrid are also in talks with Monaco to sign Aurelien Tchouameni. They are aware of the €80 million asking price and are working to find an agreement with the club to complete the move this summer.
