Marcelo is one of the greatest left-backs of his generation. The trophies and achievements of the Brazilian are unparalleled as he achieved great heights at Real Madrid. He joined Real Madrid in January 2006 from the Brazilian club Fluminense. Gradually, he became one of the favourite footballers of the club and went on to become the captain of the club.

Despite being a defender, Marcelo was a skillful player and was always a threat going forward on the left flank. He scored 38 goals and provided 103 assists in a total of 546 matches for Real Madrid.

After 15 years at the club, Marcelo left the club this season as a free agent. He is now all set to join Greek side Olympiacos on a one-year deal with an option for a further year.

Despite slowing down a bit due to his age, Marcelo still has a lot to offer to his new club and his vast experience will be invaluable to the other players. He will look to emulate his trophy-winning run with Real Madrid at Olympiacos as well.
