Another transfer window approaches, and with them, the Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid rumours. The Frenchman is entering the final six months of his contract, and will be a free agent in June when his deal expires.
As per reports from Diario AS, the Spanish side will offer Mbappe the chance to sign for them in January, with a deadline until January 15. If the player doesn’t respond or turns them down, then they will turn their attention to a transfer for Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
Real Madrid to try signing Kylian Mbappe once again in January
Los Blancos will only accept a signed contract from the player at this stage, with several attempts having failed in the past. The striker almost agreed to join them in 2021, but ended up signing a new contract with PSG to the dismay of everyone at Madrid.
With the history between Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid, this could be the last time that the France captain has a chance to realise his dream of playing in the white shirt. If Mbappe doesn’t respond with a pre-contract agreement by January 15, the club will try to sign Haaland.
The Norwegian will fit in better than Mbappe in the line-up, considering he is a traditional number 9. This would allow him to slot in better than the Frenchman, who prefers playing out on the left. But it all depends on what Mbappe decides because he remains the club’s first choice heading into the January transfer window.
