Borussia Dortmund player Jude Bellingham has been attracting top European clubs since his Birmingham City days. The English midfielder has also impressed in the FIFA World Cup 2022 as he was among the top players in the tournament and hold the midfield together for England.
Real Madrid and Liverpool were the biggest admirers of Bellingham but he is more inclined towards Real Madrid which have caused Liverpool to search for his alternative as the Premier League club is now looking to sign World Cup winning Argentinian midfielder Enzo Fernandez, who had been fantastic in the World Cup.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is pushing for the Bellingham deal and want to seal the deal soon so they don’t have to face any last minute surprises. They see the English midfielder as the perfect heir to Luka Modric.
According to rumours, Real Madrid are planning a total package of €100m+ to sign the 19-year-old from Borussia Dortmund.

Bellingham is looking to leave Dortmund in the summer and he prioritizes Real Madrid. However, things are not final and many other factors will come into play before the final signing.

Liverpool has surprisingly signed Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven and will now look to strengthen their midfield. Having missed out on Jude Bellingham, who prefers Real Madrid, they have now turned their focus on Enzo Fernandez.
The 21-year-old Benfica midfieler has a release clause of around €120m, so he won’t come cheap for Liverpool as well, but he has shown tremendous potential in the World Cup 2022 controlling the Argentinian midfield as they lifted the World Cup trophy.
