Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona are caught in a three-way battle for RB Leipzig star Dani Olmo this summer. The Spaniard heavily impressed for Spain in Euro 2020, and has attracted three of the biggest clubs in the world as potential suitors for him.
Barcelona have been interested in the player for a long time. He is a La Masia graduate and left the club in 2014 to join Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia. After spending 6 years there, he joined RB Leipzig in 2020 for €22 million. Considering he has only been in Leipzig for one year, it will be very difficult for Barcelona to negotiate a good deal for their former player.
Moreover, they also have no room for any new players on their wage budget, and cannot possibly try to sign another player this summer.
Julian Nagelsmann recently became the new Bayern Munich coach and knows the player well from their time together at the Red Bull club. So, it is natural that the young manager will be interested in bringing Olmo over to Bayern Munich to work together.
Real Madrid are also interested in signing the Spain international this summer despite him being a Barcelona graduate. He is currently valued at €45 million by Transfermarkt and will certainly not go for a cheap fee given the kind of form he has shown for the national team.
