Real Madrid received multiple offers for Federico Valverde from Premier League clubs, all estimated to be in the region of €90 million. But, the club simply rejected all of them since they consider the midfielder an untouchable part of their squad.
Los Blancos had to part ways with Casemiro after an iconic run, where the midfielder won every trophy available to the club on multiple occasions. The Brazilian ended up joining Manchester United in a deal worth over £70 million.
Federico Valverde considered vital part of the club
The Uruguayan is one of the most hardworking and dedicated players that are there in the squad. He is only 24, and has a very bright future ahead of him. Even though he plays best in a central position, he has been used on the right side of the front three consisting of Vinicius Jr on the left and Karim Benzema through the middle.
Valverde was signed as a youngster from Penarol in 2016, and was eventually loaned out to Deportivo. After returning in 2018, he has become a key part of the team, and has now made over 150 appearances for Los Blancos.
Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga are expected to inherit Real Madrid’s midfield from Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, and Federico Valverde will be the third man to complete the trio in the coming years.
