In the meantime, he won’t be a part of India’s squad for the South Africa tour. the all-rounder is planning to retire from the longest format of cricket for India. He’s scheduled to play three Tests, three ODIs and four T20Is against South Africa.
Ravindra Jadeja’s performance in different formats
Previously, India defeated New Zealand with an impressive figure of 3-0 in the T20i series. The hosts even won the test series by 1-0. Jadeja had a layoff from the South Africa tour due to injury. He’s been a key player for the Indian national cricket team and is a productive all-rounder across every format of the game. Jadeja represented the country in 57 Tests, 168 ODIs and 55 T20Is. His scores were 2195, 2411 and 256 respectively. He had 17 fifties and one hundred in the red-ball format. In one day International, his name is attached to 13 fifties. He played 200 games in the Indian Premier League (IPL) where he scored 2386 runs. This included two fifties for Chennai Super Kings.
Ravindra Jadeja may be playing ODIs, T20Is and IPL. Though he won’t be taking part in the series due to injury. Rohit Sharma is the new T20I and ODI captain of the team. He replaced Ajinkya Rahane in the Indian Test set-up but unfortunately, he won’t be taking part in the upcoming Test against South Africa due to his injury.
