The 31-year-old’s time at Manchester United was hindered by injuries. This eventually led to him announcing his retirement from international football prematurely.

However, Como are building an interesting project and have already recruited Andrea Belotti and Alberto Moreno to reinforce their squad. With the addition of Raphael Varane to their ranks, it’ll be interesting to see if they can build on their momentum to retain their place in Serie A at the end of the season.

How many games did Varane play for France?

93 games, 5 goals
