A new rumor suggests that Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege X could be announced soon. This information originates from Rainbow Six Siege leaker fraxiswinning, who posted about it X with the caveat that it is poised as speculation. Siege X does exist, according to the leaker — and sources say it will be unveiled at the Six Invitational. But plans remain subject to change.

Rainbow Six Siege X Reportedly Set for Announcement at Six Invitational 2025, Could Launch in Year 10 – Season 2
They also provided clarification around some confusion with the project’s name, confirming it had been known as Modernized Siege until then, and had been renamed to Siege X four months ago. Rather than a direct sequel, Siege X seems to be an engine rework that expands the textures and models all around, so much more of a remaster than a full sequel. With Rainbow Six Siege approaching its 10-year milestone, many fans have been requesting a significant technical upgrade.
The announcement is apparently set to happen during the playoffs of the Six Invitational 2025 eSports tournament next week. Ubisoft should also share details on the next operator for Year 10 – Season 1, codenamed Curtain and named Rauora, and reportedly from New Zealand. First up, the operator for Year 10 – Season 3 is reportedly codenamed Heist. If the leak is to be believed, Siege X may arrive in Year 10 – Season 2, which is due to drop in several months.
So far these are just claims, with nothing yet from Ubisoft about it being a thing, and there’s a chance the announcement has been pushed back. However, speculation has intensified after Ubisoft Game Designer Justin Loranger-Ahluwalia posted a lengthy thread on X, criticizing leaks and urging leakers to “do something better with their lives.” Some fans believe his response indirectly confirms the existence of Siege X. As always, fans should take this information with caution until Ubisoft makes an official announcement. If the leaks prove accurate, Siege X could mark a major technical upgrade for the long-running tactical shooter.
