Rahul Dravid becomes the head coach, the entire nation is hopeful about the Indian Cricket team’s future

The cricket fans have been jumping with joy since they have heard the news of Rahul Dravid being appointed as the new head coach. Yes, you read it right! BCCI has confirmed the news officially. The Cricket Advisory Committee consisting of RP Singh and Sulakshana Naik recommended the former Indian captain’s name for this role. He is all set to succeed Ravi Shastri from the New Zealand series.

Earlier in October, BCCI has requested applications. Although, BCCI’s president Sourav Ganguly and BCCI’s secretary Jay Shah have appealed to Rahul Dravid to be the next coach.

R. Ashwin is awaiting to be coached by Mr. Dependable

When asked about the new coach’s appointment for the Indian team in a virtual pre-match press conference, Ashwin stated that his experience will definitely help the Indian cricket team in the coming years. The Indian off-spinner is excited to get trained under the new head coach. Further, he added that his experience being the coach of the A-team has made him aware of what is approaching, which is going to help him in this journey.

What Sourav Ganguly has to say about the new coach

BCCI’s President Sourav Ganguly vocalized about the stunning career Mr Rahul Dravid had as a player. Previously, he has served as head of the National Cricket Academy with distinction. His work and dedication have got the country’s young talents to represent the Indian team internationally. Mr Ganguly is confident about his coaching and believes his guidance will take the Indian team to the next level.

BCCI agrees ₹10 Cr salary of Rahul Dravid

Rahul Dravid has coached the Indian’s women team and Delhi Capitals for the Indian Premier League(IPL). Owing to his experience and work ethic, the BCCI has agreed to pay ₹10 Cr salary to India’s new head coach.

India became the first Asian team to win a test series against Australia (2018-19) and another series in 2020-2021 under the guidance of Ravi Shastri. This team achieved victory in all 5 T20Is in a bilateral series when it whitewashed New Zealand 5-0. Under him, India won all seven home series.
