Quick Heal Launches First-ever Cyber Crime Awareness Campaign in Indore

Over 100+ street plays to be performed in 12 days under Quick Heal Foundation’s ‘Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha’ initiative.

Indore [India], 26 April, 2022:  Quick Heal Foundation (QHF), the CSR arm of Quick Heal Technologies, has taken an essential step toward increasing cybercrime awareness. The foundation has collaborated with Indore City Police and the Cyber cell team to launch a series of street plays under its signature initiative ‘Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha,’ across the city to raise awareness among the people about online safety.

The initiative will be inaugurated on April 26, 2022, by H. N. Mishr, Police Commissioner, , in the presence of Mrs. Anupama Katkar, Chairperson, QHF, Manish Kapooriya, Additional CP L/O, Rajesh Hingankar, Additional CP HQ/Crime, and. One of the popular and professional event organizers – Yog events from the cine industry will be supporting the foundation in conducting the plays. 

Mrs. Anupama Katkar, Chairperson, Quick Heal Foundation, said, “As the world is moving online, the rate of cybercrimes is also ramping up. It’s especially prevalent in top Tier 1/Tier 2 cities, where most citizens use smartphones for financial transactions, socializing, and communications. However, we have observed that many users are still unaware of the basic etiquette required for online surfing. Thus, revealing personal or financial information for cybercriminals to exploit. Through our ‘Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha’ initiative, we aim to train everyone, especially millennials and students, to be alert about fraud scams; and make people understand the current cybersecurity landscape.”

Quick Heal Launches First-ever Cyber Crime Awareness Campaign in Indore

It is a 12-day-long event where the Quick Heal team will be performing 112 street plays in various parts of Indore City. Quick Heal Foundation has chosen street play as the medium as it can present a severe issue in a very intriguing way. It helps in garnering the attention of the maximum number of people. Through these street plays, Quick Heal aims to spread awareness about online safety. The shows will also project how citizens can approach the cyber cell with their cybercrime concerns.

Through ‘Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha,’ Quick Heal will shed light on various fraudulent scams like phishing, cyber extortion, data breach, identity theft, and harassment. It will also project how cybercrime incidents cause massive financial losses and mental trauma to thousands of innocent citizens. This initiative will also help millions of internet users practice safe surfing.
