South’s Superstar Allu n’s movie Pushpa: The Rise on Amazon Prime Video will be releasing on Amazon Prime in Telegu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
The film is all set to release in Amazon Prime Video in four languages, Telegu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam from 7th January, sharp at 8 pm IST. Amazon Prime on its OTT platform announced the news on their social media handles. The post had a poster of Allu Arjun and the caption went as “He’ll fight. He’ll run. He’ll jump. But he won’t succumb! Watch #PushpaOnPrime, Jan. 7 In Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.”
This is the third collaboration between Allu Arjun and director Sukumar, with the film Pushpa: Part 1 released in cinemas on December 17. The film got mixed reviews. Allu Arjun’s performance had also got praise and it earned Rs 300 crore and was one of the highest-grossing films of that year.
Plot of the movie
The Rise portrays the journey of a lorry driver named Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun) who was engrossed in smuggling activities of red sandalwood. The backdrop of the movie is Seshachalam forests of Andhra Pradesh.
Allu Arjun on getting into the skin of the character said, , “The moment I read the script, it instantly felt right to me. The story of an underdog rising up the ranks may sound run-of-the-mill, but the way his journey has been rendered in the movie, the multiple layers and nuances added to this character are so unique and unlike any other, I have done so far in my career. I am honoured to be part of this project and absolutely thrilled that the film will reach audiences worldwide with its release on Prime Video.”
