Netflix drops a trailer of the love drama film, ‘Purple Hurts’. The film will show what will happen when a young girl falls in love with a Marine. Sofia Carson and Nicholas Galitzine just visit the “marriage of convenience” that has some unexpected results. Cassie is a fearless, unafraid, and brave character who follows her passion for justice when battling for her life along with the unjust system.
Purple Hears is mainly a film adaptation of 2017 titled the same name by Tess Wakefield, Dead to Me director Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum also helmed the film from the screenplay co-written by Kyle Jarrow and Liz Garcia.
Purple Hurts: Plot
The story of the film revolves around an aspiring musician Cassie, and Marine Kuk who have going to tie the knot for the medicine that she really needs to survive. Luke provides some health benefits to her for a type I diabetes diagnosis. Luke has hidden a troubling past. He has his personal reason for this marriage. For some time, their secret plans are working and they begin to make an appearance of friendship. As long as Luke starts paying off the debts that are just haunting him, the musical career of Cassie just lifts it up by inspiring such of the unexpected.
While a tragedy sends him home too early than expected, Cassie and Luke have not prepared to simulate the marriage face-to-face, mainly infront of family and friends. They are arguing continuously and showing disagreement, it may take some time, but the walls in between them start to melt down as both of them expose their vulnerabilities to each other.
We are assuming as the line between real, and fake become blurred, Cassie and Luke are finally able to admit their real feeling for the first time.

The love drama film features Sofia Carson as Cassie, Nicholas Galitzine as Luke, Chosen Jacobs, John Harlan Kim, Anthony Ippolito, Kat Cunning, Sarah Rich, Scott Deckert, and Linden Ashby. Purple Hearts directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum.
Carson has told, “I wanted her thoughts to be my thoughts, her fears to be my fears. To love how she loved. To see the world through her eyes. In order to tell her story and to do Cassie justice, I needed to fully and completely dive into her skin, her heart, and her mind.” she also continues, “Cassie and I are very different in a lot of ways but in other, beautifully similar: Her tenacity. Her love of music. With her fearlessness, Cassie is a force. And it was my honor to her, and step into her skin, for a moment in time. I admire her deeply.”
The lead actor Gallitzin said, “felt compelled to immerse me as much in the military culture as possible before taking on a tole like Luke” he continues, “I think there’s such specificity that is required to play such a character so it was very much about understanding the process of creating a Marine—what basic training looked like the intensity of it all, how they carry themselves, body language,”
Carson reveals her chemistry with Gallitzin “was instant, which is a vital part of telling a romance as deep and complex as ours.”
Gallitzin says, “There were just a couple of really difficult and emotional scenes, that Sofia and I filmed together and I think just being able to go to that dark place with each other and support each other and feel the story of closeness and the chemistry was super gratifying.”

Netflix confirms that the film will hit on 29th July 2022.
