PSG wonderkid Warren Zaïre-Emery is set to sign a new contract with the club in the coming weeks, after remarkable performances with the first team. The board wants the academy graduate to be the face of their project for the coming years.
The 2006-born midfielder signed his first professional deal last summer, which runs until 2025. But, the board is set to offer him a new deal which will run for longer and offer him a better salary than his current deal.
Warren Zaïre-Emery to sign new contract with PSG
The youngster was recently pictured leading the celebrations with the fans after their 4-0 win in Le Classique. Last year, he made 34 appearances for the senior team while scoring two goals.
Zaïre-Emery has represented France at various youth levels this far, captaining them at the U-21 level.
The new deal is considered a priority for Warren Zaïre-Emery, who has broken into the first team even with the presence of several international players in the same position.
There were rumours that he could move to Manchester City this summer with Bernardo Silva moving in the other direction. But, the move did not materialise and Silva has now signed a new deal with City which will keep him at the club until 2026.
On the other hand, Zaïre-Emery will also sign a new deal with PSG and will be an important part of the project going forward.
