Prem Keetanu: Veer Pahariya’s Feel-Good Rom-Com Is Here, and Here’s Everything You Need to Know

Looking for a light, romantic weekend watch? Prem Keetanu hit theatres on October 2, 2026, and it could be exactly that. Veer Pahariya headlines this romantic comedy, directed by Apoorv Singh Karki. Here’s a quick, spoiler-free guide to the film.

Prem Keetanu: Film Overview

What Is the Story About?

The film follows Vishal Thakur, a carefree college slacker from Uttar Pradesh who struggles to find direction after graduation. His family keeps criticising his uncertain future, so he moves to the Delhi-NCR region on the pretext of preparing for overseas studies, sharing an apartment with his closest friend while chasing the dream of a better life abroad.

At a wedding, he meets Suhani Sharma, an ambitious, independent professional, and quickly falls for her. He joins her social circle to get closer, but she sees him only as a friend. Things get more complicated with Ranjeet Singh, Suhani’s confident and successful boss, whose polished life makes Vishal question his own lack of direction.

After an emotional setback, Vishal realises he needs to improve himself rather than rely on hope. He commits to his goals and slowly gains confidence, and Suhani begins to see the sincerity that was always there. As he prepares to leave for the next chapter of his life, she races to meet him before he goes. Whether the two find their way to each other is the question that drives the film’s final act.

The Cast and the Remake Connection

Veer Pahariya leads as Vishal, while newcomer Aafiya Sayed makes her debut as Suhani. Aparshakti Khurana, Nikhil Vijay and veteran Rakesh Bedi appear in pivotal roles, which promises some good comic energy.

The film is the Hindi adaptation of the Malayalam romantic comedy Premalu, which starred Naslen and Mamitha Baiju and was directed by Girish AD. Prem Keetanu is co-presented by Avanika Films and Phars Film Company, in association with the original film’s producers, Bhavana Studios. If you’ve seen the original, expect a familiar heart with a fresh Hindi-belt flavour.

Should You Watch It?

If you enjoy youthful, relatable love stories about figuring out life while chasing someone you like, this looks like a good fit. The setup is simple, but films like this usually rise or fall on chemistry and humour, so it’s worth watching how the leads connect on screen. Fans of the original may enjoy comparing the two, while newcomers can simply enjoy a breezy story.
