Bengaluru-based start-up, Pravaig is all set to unveil its new electric SUV in India next month. The name of the e-SUV is still unknown but Pravaig claims a driving range of more than 500 km with a top speed of over 200 kmph and the company also claims that the SUV can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 4.3 seconds.
Pravaig to showcase new electric SUV in November
Pravaig Dynamics, the emerging EV start-up has announced its plans to reveal a new electric SUV. Slated to be revealed on 25 November, the e-SUV will draw several of its inspiration from the Pravaig Extinction MK1 electric sedan concept which made its debut in July 2020.
The single teaser image released by the EV carmaker reveals a strong SUV profile with upright shoulders, a flat roofline, and a raked rear windscreen. Further, it is expected to get rear-hinged doors, pronounced wheel arches, and a two-pane sunroof. Moreover, the rear will sport a horizontal tail lamp that will run across the width of the tailgate.
Unlike the Extinction sedan — which was more of a garage-built prototype — the electric SUV looks more production-ready, according to the trailers. The style has a more mature feel and the design is completely minimalistic, seemingly dominated by the edges. In profile, the SUV has sharply angled front and rear glass and widened front fenders. A double sunroof is also visible. At the back, taillights with a subtle red LED strip stretch across the SUV.
Pravaig says the electric SUV will have a range above 500km and a top speed of over 200kph, as well as fast charging capabilities. Other features that could be expected are bits the company had announced for its Extinction sedan, like a PM 2.5 air filtration system, and a premium sound system from French firm Devialet. The company had in the past also said its product would secure a 5-star crash rating.
It has a desk that can accommodate a 15-inch laptop, and it even has two USB-type C/ Thunderbolt ports and power ports. It will come with a built-in air purifier as well. Meanwhile, we also expect features like an air purifier, USB Type-C ports, foldable table tray, and Devialet sound system that is offered on the Extinction to make it to the electric SUV.
