Ponniyin Selvan 2 was released on 28th April and just confirmed its OTT release date. The first part of the film was a huge success at the box office. The second part is already available in theatres from 28th April. Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachan’s film, ‘Ponniyan Selvan 2’ has been launched after a long wait.
Mani Ratnam has promised to provide a rememberable historical drama film for the audience. Now, Ratnam just unveiled a big thing about the most ambitious project ever. The main tale follows an iconic five volume novel of Kalki Krishnamurthy’s. The film also marked Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’ ‘s comeback to the big screen after four years. The plot of the film is expected to pick up where the first film left off, following the adventures of the young prince Arulmozhi Varman as he navigates the complex politics and power struggles of the Chola dynasty. There are several fights and wars ensued and blood was shed on the scenes of which that may follow, but there is no leave for Nandini for the royal throne.
The first part was concluded with a sequence that is like a cliffhanger and left the fans with an intense thrill. The Hindi trailer of Aishwarya Rai’s PS2 starts with a ship that is in danger in the sea, a stormy night, and a terrible sea wave has broken the balance of the sea. However, Chole dynasty the most difficult time has come due to the division of the Chole kingdom against the emperor. Now, the main fact is Nandini is still alive. In the short teaser of the film, we witnessed some heart-touching romantic moments between Aditya and Nandini. We have seen that the teaser of Vikram’s Aditya also can be seen pining for love. Aditya has said in the teaser, “The wine, the song, the blood, and the war, everything just set to forget her, to forget me,”
Aishwarya may be seen in dual roles, as the princess of Pazuvoor is also on a mission seeking vengeance like Mandakini Devi in such a historical film.
This film marked the second collaboration of Adishwara with the South Actor Vikram that has been acclaimed critically by Ravan in 2010 the South collaboration of director Mani Ratnam after Iravat in 1977.

In the second part, we are going to see Aishwariya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Lal, Kishore, Ashwin Kakumanu, and Aishwarya Lekshmi. The second part has been produced by Subaskaran’s Lyca Productions. The film has been jointly produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. AR Rahman is the music composer and Mani Ratnam is the director.

PS2 was dropped on April 28. This is the fit film that has been exposed in theatres in 4XD format. The movie has reportedly dropped on more than 3200 screens. According to the sources, Ponniyan Selvan 2 has a total gross of Rs. 100 crore at the worldwide box office collections in just two days of release.
Ponniyin Selvan 2 OTT Release Date
Ponniyin Selvan 2 has declared that the film will hit on OTT giant Amazon Prime Video. They have got the rights to the film as it did for its first chapter. With so much love pouring in for PS 2, the movie might not be able to hit the digital space until about five weeks after its theatrical release. The film hit into the theatres on 28th April 2023. We are expecting that the movie might hit the streaming platform by the second or third week of June. However, we are still waiting for the official announcement.
