Hardik Pandya emerges as the new Brand Ambassador, Poco X5 series launching on 6th February
The sub-brand of Xiaomi i.e. Poco India has recently confirmed that its new Brand Ambassador will be the famous cricket star Hardik Pandya, who was earlier spotted using Poco X5 Pro. So, the Poco X5 series is also confirmed to be launching on 6th February at 5:30 PM a day before the mega OnePlus Cloud 11 launch event.
The new Poco X5 series has been carefully designed to target young audiences who intend to upgrade to 5G without sacrificing on price-to-performance ratio while still having a great design. The Xiaomi sub-brand will also keep its pricing tamed just in between the Redmi Note 12 and Note 12 Pro series so that no customers are left unheard.
Poco X5 Pro with Snapdragon 778G SoC is expected to have a starting price of ₹21k
While the Poco X5 is essentially a rebranded Redmi Note 12 with the Snapdragon 695 SoC rather than the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 will be called the X5 while the X5 Pro will be the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed with the Snapdragon 778G processor.
The X5 Pro will also feature a big 5,000mAh battery with up to 67W fast charging, and an FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The camera module has a 108MP main sensor besides 8MP and 2MP sensors.
There could be a 16MP selfie camera in the front, and it’s expected that much like other Poco phones, this Poco X5 Pro 5G will also be made available via Flipkart.
In terms of pricing, the leaked info suggests that this Poco X5 Pro 5G will have three variants – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. The base pricing is suspected to be Rs.21k and could go all the way up to Rs.23k, lesser than the starting price of the Redmi Note 12 Pro series.
