POCO’s upcoming flagship killer just got more interesting—and slightly controversial. A leaked retail box reveals the POCO F8 Pro will feature “Sound by Bose” tuning, marking the brand’s first premium audio partnership. The catch? No charging adapter included.
Table of Contents
POCO F8 Pro: What the Leak Reveals
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Audio Partnership | Sound by Bose (first for POCO) |
| Expected Launch | March 2026 (following F7 Pro timeline) |
| Base Model | Likely rebadged Redmi K90 |
| Charger Included | No (following industry trend) |
| Processor | Snapdragon 8 Elite |
| Display | 6.59″ 2K OLED, 120Hz LTPO |
| Battery | 7,100mAh with 100W fast charging |
| Cameras | 50MP main (OIS) + 50MP telephoto + 8MP ultrawide |
The Bose Audio Gambit
The leaked packaging clearly shows “Sound by Bose” branding at the top-left corner, aligning POCO with premium audio-focused brands. This marks POCO’s strategic shift toward multimedia excellence beyond raw performance specs.
The partnership emphasizes immersive sound capabilities and places the F8 Pro among elite audio-focused smartphones, potentially featuring physical woofer units and enhanced speaker tuning. If the Redmi K90 connection proves accurate, expect stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio certification and improved headphone output profiles.
The Missing Charger Controversy
The box reportedly confirms no charging adapter inside, following the latest technology trend of reducing packaging contents for environmental concerns. This represents a departure from the POCO F7 Pro, which included a 90W charger.
The decision mirrors moves by Apple, Samsung, and other premium manufacturers, though it may frustrate value-conscious POCO fans who expect complete packages. Regional variations remain possible—the China-exclusive Redmi K90 still includes a charger.
Expected Specifications
The device is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, a 6.59-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The camera system includes a triple 50MP rear setup with OIS and a 20MP front camera.
Additional features include IP68 water resistance, 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 7, and Android 16-based HyperOS 3. The NBTC certification in Thailand confirms an imminent global launch.
Market Positioning
POCO’s Bose partnership mirrors strategies from OPPO-Hasselblad and iQOO-BMW M Motorsport collaborations, elevating brand perception beyond budget flagship territory. With competitors like OnePlus and Realme dominating the mid-range segment, premium audio differentiation could be POCO’s ace card for 2026.
