The POCO F7 is one of the most awaited smartphones and has been creating a lot of buzz online ahead of its official release. Positioned as the base variant in the F7 series, which already includes the POCO F7 Pro and POCO F7 Ultra, the device has been rumoured for quite some time.
The Pro and Ultra models have already been announced globally in March, and now the regular POCO F7 has been tipped to launch in both global and Indian markets beginning the third week of June, between 17th June to 19th June, as per a new report from SmartPrix.

POCO is yet to confirm the launch through an official announcement, but the F7 has been spotted on certifications such as BIS and FCC, indicating that the launch date is quite near. Notably, the POCO India head, Himanshu Tandon, had earlier hinted at the launch of the POCO F7 Ultra in India. He uploaded a picture on X (previously Twitter) in April this year, posing with the POCO F7 Ultra, alongside its promotional poster. While no official update followed that teaser, this new report suggests that POCO may finally break the silence soon.
As for the upcoming POCO F7, it’s rumored to be nothing but a rebranded copy of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro that arrived in China in April. If the aforementioned is true, then the POCO F7 could feature a 6.83-inch OLED screen with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It could also have an IP68 or IP69 rating, meaning it would be dust and water resistant. The smartphone may work on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, which is a pretty decent new processor and worth coming on average-range devices.
The phone could also be equipped with a massive 7,550mAh battery and support for 90W fast charging. In terms of camera setup, the POCO F7 may feature a dual rear camera system with 50MP and 8MP sensors, along with a 20MP front-facing camera. With these specifications, the POCO F7 appears set to be a strong contender in the mid-range performance smartphone category, following in the footsteps of the POCO F6, which debuted in India at a starting price of ₹29,999.
