Poco has scheduled a global launch event on May 23rd to reveal the Poco F6 5G. The company has mailed out several teasers and a save-the-date invitation confirming that the event will begin at 4:30 pm IST on May 23. For the forthcoming device, Flipkart will be the official sales platform.
Because there is still a lot we don’t know about the phone or the launch itself, speculation regarding the Poco F6 has been floating around in recent weeks after Xiaomi launched the Redmi Turbo 3 in China last month, hinting that it may be retested and released elsewhere in markets like India.
The Upcoming Poco F6
Highly speculative, but if proven genuine, most of what to expect from the Poco F6 may already be known. The device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. Based on its predecessor, the Redmi Turbo 3, this device might also feature a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate facilitation
Moreover, the camera setup may be dual on the back, with the primary one being 50-megapixel and supporting a Sony LYT 600 sensor and up to 8MP ultra-wide lenses. As for the front camera, users would have a 16-megapixel lens. The Poco F6 is expected to run HyperOS based on Android 14 and has a 5,000mAh battery. The fast charging feature may have a 90W support.
For the pricing, although the Redmi Turbo 3 was made available at 1999 Yuan in China, taxes and more can pose more expenses to get the Poco F6, it is presumed between ₹30,000-35,000 aligned with speculations and the pricing philosophy by the predecessor, Poco F5. Since Poco will likely clear the air on the hints, the Poco F6 is likely to hit the racks by May 2024 per the launch of its precedent—Poco F5.
