PlayStation 5 Pro: Sony plans to release the PS5 Pro in the second half of 2024

A reliable leaker has suggested that the PS5 Pro will be equipped with an upgraded GPU and RAM to make 8K console gaming possible. Furthermore, the PS5 Pro is likely to be announced near the end of the third quarter of 2024, as predicted by a well-known industry insider.

“There seems to be a broad consensus in the game industry that Sony is indeed preparing a launch of a PS5 Pro in the second half of 2024,” Serkan Toto, CEO of Tokyo-based games consultancy Kantan Games, told CNBC.

“And Sony will want to make sure to have a great piece of hardware ready when GTA VI hits in 2025, a launch that will be a shot in the arm for the entire gaming industry.”

However, some have voiced concerns over the timing of the release. Some suggest that the PS5 Pro is releasing at a potentially challenging time, without providing specific reasons. Overall, the PlayStation 5 Pro is set to be a significant upgrade from the original PlayStation 5, offering advanced features and capabilities for gamers.
