PlayStation 5 Pro CPU And Engine
For some time we are hearing about the specs of the PlayStation 5 Pro just like its CPU and hardware. Now we have some more of them that have been shared recently.
This new piece of information is shared by Insider Gaming in a new report that just came out recently. The report gives additional details on the specs of the gaming console highlighting the boosts for CPU and other GPU details.
As per the report, the console’s CPU will be identical to the base model; however, the system’s high CPU frequency mode will be able to take it to 3.85 GHz, a 10% boost over the standard PS5.
System memory is also said to undergo a 28% boost over the base model, which is from 448 GB/s to 576 GB/s. talking about audio, it will also improve, and the PlayStation 5 Pro ACV will run on a higher clock speed.
Tom Henderson also added to these details and said that PlayStation 5 Pro GPU will sport 30 WGPs running with specialization in BVH8 traversal shaders on the base model. Another one came from AMD leaker Kepler that the console is using RDNA 4’s RT engine.
This source also confirms some new details on the architecture that there will be double ray tracing throughput per cycle. So, this suggests that the PlayStation 5 Pro will have an improved ray tracing technique.
