Pixel Watch 2 update: Google Pixel Watch, the brand’s first wearable, debuted last year with a luxury design and stainless steel body. The search giant is currently working on the Pixel Watch 2, which is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU. The new wearable is also rumoured to be undergoing a facelift, with a recent report claiming it would have an aluminium shell. This may make the watch lighter, but it may also make it more prone to harm.
The Google Pixel Watch 2 is getting a makeover, and it’s decreasing weight, according to a 9to5Google report.
The second-generation wearable will be composed of aluminium rather than stainless steel like the first. As a result, the smartwatch may be slightly lighter. The original Pixel Watch weights approximately 36 grammes without straps, making it heavier than many other alternatives on the market.
According to the source, Google is also planning to release new “Coach”-branded workouts as part of a redesigned Fitbit app, which will be released alongside the Pixel Watch 2. The new Fitbit app is likely to offer a number of new features, such as a revamped user interface and metrics.
According to prior reports, the future Pixel Watch 2 would be paired with the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 platform chipset. The watch will be available in two varieties, one of which will include an LTE modem. The 41mm case on both variants will be compatible with Google’s watch bands. The Pixel Watch 2 may look similar to its predecessor, with the same domed glass edge-to-edge construction.
