Google’s Pixel launch event is the following week, but the firm is unable to stop the leaks of product information. This most recent leak, which was posted by the leaker Evan Blass on X, the social network formerly known as Twitter, provides us with a glimpse at new Fitbit capabilities incorporated on the future Pixel Watch 2.
Fitbit Sense 2’s “Body responses” feature, which is meant to be able to detect when you’re feeling stressed, is supported in one of the Pixel Watch 2 photos that have surfaced online.
While the electrodermal activity (EDA) sensor is needed to make this function work on the current Pixel Watch, it appears that the Pixel Watch 2 will ship with one. Small amounts of perspiration on your skin are measured by EDA sensors along with other metrics like skin temperature and heart rate variability to determine when you’re stressed.
Notably, the new Pixel Watch 2’s Body reactions panel has a different user interface than the one on the Fitbit Sense 2 watch. Emoji face icons reflecting when times of day you appear pleased or worried are part of the new design on the Pixel 2. The Pixel Watch 2’s fitness screens appear to be getting a revamp as well; the leaked image clearly shows whether the user’s heart rate is on target while exercising. More information on Fitbit exercises on the new device was obtained by 9to5Google as well.
Along with the Pixel 8 Pro last month, Google accidently revealed the existence of the new Pixel Watch 2 earlier this month when it posted a teaser video about it. If you purchase the phone, the business may even throw in the brand-new watch for free.
