Pixel Fold 2 Case rendered online: Thinner screen bezels, Tensor G4 SoC

The impending Google Pixel Fold 2 design has been confirmed by a recent leak from the well-known case manufacturer Thinborne. This disclosure supports past speculations about a potential debut alongside the Pixel 9 series.

They nevertheless strengthen the case that these are most likely the final designs for Google’s next products. Thinborne, an accessories maker, is the source of the renders, which GizChina noticed. For these phones, Thinborne plans to release a “Thin case” that is compatible with MagSafe and is made of 600D Aramid Fiber.

It is widely expected that the much awaited foldable smartphone, the Google Pixel Fold 2, will launch in 2024. Compared to its predecessor, the gadget ought to have larger screens. It will have an inner screen that is around 7.9 inches and a cover screen that measures about 6.4 inches. Together with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, the phone will also be powered by the Google Tensor G4 SoC. A triple rear camera arrangement with many sensors will be used on the Pixel Fold 2.

At the upper right corner of the inner screen, there will be an under-display camera. Located behind the panel is a large, rectangular camera island that holds the camera equipment. Along with compatibility for 5G connectivity, the phone will also feature a fingerprint sensor on the side.

It is noteworthy to mention that renders of these phones have appeared previously. Leaked CAD renders of both gadgets have already been seen. The gadget is anticipated to be unveiled in June 2024 during the Google I/O conference. The precise release date is unknown as of right now, though.
