Google Pixel 9a vs OnePlus 13: Specs, Features, and India Price Comparison Ahead of Official Launch

Display and Design

The Pixel 9a features a 6.3-inch Actua pOLED panel with 2424×1080 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The brightness maxes out at a whopping 2,700 nits, so it should be easily visible even in direct sunlight. The flat camera housing gives the device a sleek, modern look. In contrast, OnePlus 13 has a 6.82-inch AMOLED panel with Ceramic Guard glass for durability. Its ultra-thin bezels offer an immersive viewing experience.

Performance

Inside, the Pixel 9a will harness a Google Tensor G4 chip, with said chip supported by 8GB of RAM. This combination can deliver fluid performance while providing reasonable multitasking abilities. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset powers the OnePlus 13. It also comes with various RAM configurations, including 12GB, 16GB, or up to a whopping 24GB for on-the-go performance.

Camera

The new Pixel 9a is endowed with a 48-megapixel primary camera with advanced AI processing and a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens. This configuration is also known for producing clear and bright photographs, keeping up with Google’s legacy of excellent mobile photography. On the photography side, the OnePlus 13 features a triple rear camera system with a 50-megapixel sensor that has been co-engineered with Hasselblad. The objective of this collaboration is to deliver studio-quality portraits and improve image quality.

Battery and Charging

The Pixel 9a packs a 5,100mAh battery and is rated for 30+ hours of usage on a full single charge. The device supports wired charging and Qi wireless charging as well, making it a flexible option for users. The OnePlus 13 also runs on a bigger 6,000mAh battery for longer usage. It is also fast charge enabled to allow users minimum downtime.

Software and Updates

One of the standout features of the Pixel 9a is Google’s commitment to software support, offering seven years of OS and security updates. This guarantees users can access the most recent features and security updates for an extended period. The OnePlus 13 is running on OxygenOS 15 on top of Android 15, which brings a clean and responsive experience. OnePlus has done well by way of updates, but it’s hard to predict exactly how long it will support devices specifically.

Pricing

The Google Pixel 9a retails for ₹49,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version. There is also a 256GB storage variant available for a higher price. The base variant of the OnePlus 13 comes at ₹64,998, with more RAM options costing more.
