Pixar’s demise

The term layoffs becomes a nightmare in each and every industry. From technology to Non-Technology everywhere it is a big threat to the worker.  Now one of the highly anticipated animation company Pixar Animation Studios has joined in the club.

Hollywood Reported confirms that  the company that has been originated in the late Steve Jobs  and has acquired by Disney in 2006. It is going to notify as the employees for impending the staff reductions.

It has been marked as the largest restructuring in Pixar’s history, it has be affecting approximately more than 14 percent of its workforce along with 175 employees out of the 1,300 who have worked along with the animation studio.

It seems that the decision going to downsize that becomes like a part of the Disney chief Bo Iger’s broader aspects for high quality more than the quantity. Now, the shift is focusing on the departure from the last emphasis for making content and also for streaming platforms and it had favored along with the tenure of Bob Chapek and Iger with the short-lived successor.

In addition, “Lightyear”,  is going to be the first post-COVID theatrical release along with the mixed reviews.

On the basis of layoffs and restructuring, a Pixar spokesperson said, “ While these changes are difficult, they are part of our ongoing commitment to focus on the quality and ensure that Pixar remains a leader in innovative storytelling.”
