Instant Checkout in ChatGPT
Millions of ChatGPT users can now complete purchases instantly using their PayPal accounts. The integration offers instant checkout via the PayPal wallet within OpenAI Instant Checkout, multiple funding options (bank accounts, balances, cards), and full buyer and seller protections including tracking and dispute resolution.
PayPal will also support OpenAI Instant Checkout via a delegated payments API, taking responsibility for card payment processing—ensuring security and reliability consumers expect.
Merchant Solutions: Agent Ready & Store Sync
Agent Ready (launching early 2026) enables millions of existing PayPal merchants to instantly accept payments on AI surfaces like conversational AI and browser-automated experiences. Built-in fraud detection, buyer protection, and dispute resolution require zero additional technical integration.
Store Sync makes merchant product catalogs discoverable across leading AI channels while seamlessly submitting orders to existing fulfillment systems. Benefits include fast integration through strategic partners (Wix, BigCommerce, Shopware), increased discovery through intent-driven shopping, merchant control as the merchant of record, and one-to-many compatibility across multiple AI surfaces.
Merchants can enroll today at PayPal.ai, with discoverability on Perplexity expected before year-end.

Millions of Products in ChatGPT
Beginning in 2026, PayPal’s ACP server will introduce product catalogs from apparel, beauty, electronics, and more into ChatGPT commerce. This trusted, scalable, compliant access layer eliminates individual merchant integrations—PayPal manages merchant routing, payment validation, and orchestration, making millions of products discoverable and purchasable through AI.
PayPal is also scaling ChatGPT Enterprise access for its 24,000+ employees and leveraging OpenAI APIs to accelerate product development.
